How to select ring size?

Measuring your finger with string, paper or dental floss

Strings can be used to measure ring sizes, or you can use dental floss, which is a common household item. Mark the spot where you can see the string or dental floss overlaps and mark it with a pen when you wrap 1 of these measurement device round the base of the finger. Using the ruler, pen and paper, measure its length in millimetres and mark it on the piece of paper and ruler with a sharp pen. Look at the markings on the paper to measure the length or circumference. Try this a few times using the string and straighten it out with the ruler before measuring and then look at our ring size chart or ring size guide to have the conversion. 

Rule of thumb: 0.4mm inner diameter increase is half size up

The standard ring size is by 0.4mm increments, so size 4 equals 14.86 millimetres, size 4.5 equals 15.27 millimetres, size5 equals 15.7 millimetres, etc.
